Every single pleasure does not need to be grand. Sometimes the sweetest parts of life are the simplest. Here's a soft little peek into mine:

Q: What’s a small thing that instantly lifts your mood?
A: Sunlight through my windows. A dog that’s happy to see me (I’m a major dog person!). A well-made iced oat latte. The first ninety-seven seconds of diving into clean sheets. Basically, simple domestic magic.

Q: Do you like quiet mornings or slow evenings more?
A: Mornings—if I’m not rushed. I love the peace before the world fully wakes up. But give me a slow evening, a little whisky, music humming in the background, and I’ll melt into it.
Today? I’m craving the slow evening.

Q: What’s your ideal kind of ‘nothing day’?
A: No schedule. No procrastination guilt. A takeaway delivered to my door. Simple stretching. Someone nearby I can wrap around like a blanket. Easy, presence-based company.

Q: Where do you feel most yourself?
A: Somewhere soft, barefoot, doing something mindless with my hands—like stroking someone’s back. Or walking with a funny or true crime podcast in my ears. Simple rituals ground me.

Q: What would you do with an unexpected day off?
A: Read. Cook. Learn to turn the damn technology off. Maybe visit a quiet garden centre or a nearly empty local gallery. Bonus points if there’s iced coffee (and chocolate cake) involved.

Q: What’s one thing you never get tired of?
A: Being around someone who makes everything feel calm. Laughter that doesn’t require effort. Feeling truly at home—even just for a moment.
And touching. Lots and lots of touching.

Ciao for now,
