Once More, With Feeling
Not a reset, but a restart — How I plan to make this transformation absolutely phenomenal, full of intention and forgiveness of self.

After years of side-eying the pink elephant in the room (aka my health), I’ve decided to stop pretending it isn’t moonwalking across my life in broad daylight. The diets, the quick fixes, the “I’ll start on Monday” speeches… they’ve all had their run. But the truth is: my body’s been whispering for a while now—sometimes shouting—and I’m finally ready to listen.
But this isn’t a dramatic overhaul. No six-week shred. No morning lemon water cult. This is something softer, more sustainable. A personal project. And the subject? Me.
Here’s the loose (but loving) plan:
Weight training 3–4 times a week, with a side of menstrual cycle tracking because, frankly, that matters.
Pilates 2–3 times a week, 20 minutes max. Gentle movement, long limbs, no stress.
Walking 30 minutes a day minimum. Just getting to and from the gym should cover that. Extra points for scenic strolls.
Now, food. I adore food. Deeply. If you’ve come over from my website, you already know. The idea of cutting out food groups or waving goodbye to my favourite staples? Laughable. What isn’t funny, though, is health—especially as the years add up. So I’m not taking anything away; I’m adding: fibre, collagen, creatine, protein. All those saved Instagram recipes are finally coming off the bench.
Tonight? I’m on the couch, wrapped in my dressing gown, devouring hot honey fried chicken from Wagamama. Tomorrow? I’m at the gym bright and early before diving into a Sunday roast with friends—because balance is the name of the game, and Yorkshire puddings are joy incarnate.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. A return to myself. Strong, supple, low-stress. I want to feel good in my body, not just look good to others. That’s the shift.
So—how do you look after yourself? No pressure, just a gentle nudge. If you’re also on a journey (or thinking about starting one), you’re welcome here. Expect some complaining (I’m dramatic), a dash of delusion (who isn’t?), and, fingers crossed, a steady stream of updates as I change, move, grow, and try again.
Once more, with feeling.
Ciao for now,
